I spoke at the CHADD of North Broward Chapter last night. We discussed the importance of working as a team with school, teachers, physicians, psychologists, and parents. Learning about ADHD as a disability, learning about the laws, how to advocate for your children, and to take care of yourselves as parents and as adults. In addition, taking into account people's cultural backgrounds and developing a support system is crucial as well. Good luck to all of you and I hope the meeting helped parents feel more prepared to help their children have a good academic year that just started. Vera Joffe, Ph.D.
