Dear Readers: I would like to inform you that this coming Saturday, February 6th, HBO will be showing a documentary about Dr. Temple Grandin's life. Dr. Grandin is an adult with Asperger Syndrome, and she has been sharing her story and her life with people from all over the world for many years. I am looking forward to watching the documentary, and I hope you will as well. Dr. Grandin is a great model for children and adults with Asperger Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders: She recommends the following to parents when it comes to early intervention for children with autism: "Doing nothing is the worse thing one can do" when it comes to correct and comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and all kinds of interventions. You will see that Dr. Grandin developed her career and life based on special interests that she had, such as her love for cows.
